About Me

The Heart of My Work I became a therapist because I believe that the patterns we developed to survive the past shouldn’t have to dictate our future. My practice is rooted in the idea that we don’t heal in isolation; we heal through connection—both to others and to the many different parts of ourselves.

My Journey & Experience Having spent years working with families and individuals in the heart of Washington, DC, I’ve seen firsthand how high-pressure environments can fragment our sense of self. My background in supporting parents and navigating complex family dynamics has taught me that the “foundations” we grow up with are powerful, but they are not permanent. We always have the capacity to rebuild.

My Approach to Healing In our sessions, I don’t just focus on managing symptoms; I look at the whole person. I integrate traditional relational therapy with Internal Family Systems (IFS)—a method that helps you get curious about the “parts” of you that feel stuck, anxious, or self-critical. Whether it’s the part of you that strives for perfection or the part that feels overwhelmed by life’s transitions, I provide a safe, non-judgmental container to help those parts soften so your authentic self can lead.

Professional Credentials I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC #PRC 14494) dedicated to helping you move from a state of “surviving” to one of powerful, authentic self-awareness.

How We Work: A Holistic & Parts-Based Approach

My practice is rooted in Relational theory and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), enhanced by the transformative lens of Internal Family Systems (IFS). Together, we will identify the “parts” of your internal world—those that carry old wounds or use anxiety to protect you—and move toward a place of newfound self-compassion. Depending on your needs, I also integrate mindfulness practices to help you stay grounded in the present, alongside regular check-ins to track your progress. I deeply believe that everyone has the capacity for profound growth, and my goal is to provide the collaborative space you need to reach your full potential.

Growth-Oriented Support

Beyond “Fixing”—Toward Becoming Therapy isn’t only for the moments when things feel broken; it is a powerful tool for those who are ready to lean into their next chapter. If you are feeling a nudge toward deeper self-discovery or professional growth, I provide a space to explore the internal patterns that may be holding you back from your full potential.

How We Support Your Growth:

Value-Aligned Living

We’ll identify what truly matters to you now—not what you were told should matter—to ensure your external life matches your internal truth.

Deepening Emotional Intelligence

We move beyond surface-level habits to understand the relational dynamics and “parts” of your personality that influence how you lead, love, and connect.

Life Transitions & Identity

Whether you are changing careers, starting a family, or navigating a milestone, we’ll help your “internal system” adapt to these changes with clarity instead of fear.

Navigating High-Pressure Success

Especially in a city like DC, the part of us that strives for excellence can often lead to burnout. We’ll work to balance your ambition with internal peace.

Growth is rarely about adding something new; it’s usually about unburdening the parts of yourself that have been weighed down by old expectations.
